A milium is a small, subepidermal keratin cyst that appears as a white subcutaneous nodule. It is rarely more than 2 mm in diameter.
Most commonly on the face, it can also occur at the site of dermal damage, such as that caused by subepidermal bullae.

Treatment:

  • Milia can be incised with a #11 scalpel blade and shelled out.
  • It can also be treated with electrical fulguration.
