Papilloma (definition)

(pap'i-lo'mah) (Latin. Pailla - a nipple-like projection + Greek. oma - a swelling or tumor)

A nipple-like mass projecting from the surface of the skin.

Examples:

• A soft flesh-colored elevated tumor with a dermal component. Fibroma molle.

• Acrochordon or papillomatous seborrheic keratosis.
