Actinic telangiectasia

Actinic telangiectasia are telangiectasia of the sun exposed areas secondary to chronic sun damage.

These lesions, particularly prominent on the skin of fair skinned patients, can be a significant cosmetic concern.

Treatment:

  • The lesions respond very well to the pulsed dye laser at 585 nm.
  • Use of a broad spectrum sunscreen is appropriate to prevent new lesions.
